Unwavering Solidarity with India’s Working People

The Indian Peoples Council (IPC) extends its unequivocal support to the Bharat Bandh of July 9, 2025, led by India’s central trade unions and supported by tens of millions of workers, farmers, and public sector employees. We salute the spirit of mass resistance expressed by over 250 million participants (25 crore) who have chosen the path of resistance against deepening economic disparity, malicious privatisation, and the erosion of labour rights.

The Demands Are Just. The Discontent Is Real.

The Indian Peoples Council fully endorses the 17-point charter of demands, including:

  • Immediate repeal of the four anti-worker labour codes
  • Universal social security and minimum wage of ₹26,000/month
  • Restoration of the Old Pension Scheme and pension dignity for all
  • End to reckless privatisation of public assets and services
  • Expansion of MGNREGA and urban employment guarantees
  • Reduction of fuel taxes and GST on essentials, strengthening of PDS

These are not merely demands—they are the minimum conditions for human survival and dignity in today’s India; Any goverment that is disagreed to such basic demands is fundamentally workers of India and hence India itself.

A Reflection with comrades

We are moved by the massive scale and disciplined execution of this strike, this is a crisis facing India’s workers, farmers, and youth and demands a protest of a decisive nature.

Perhaps our well intending friends in New Delhi requires to witness a more empassionate and enduring lawyering of our cause. IPC is convinced such a direction is the most productive approach in given political climate.

Forever your foot soldier

The Indian Peoples Council prays  allied movements to explore:

  • Phased, multi-day sectoral strikes targeting high-leverage industries.
  • Geographic convergence and mass encampments in state/national capitals.
  • Joint actions with student, youth, women and farmer movements.
  • Legal action, and international platforms who are willing to voice our struggles.
  • Building a unified front platform with an actionable, time-bound agenda.

These are steps toward converting dissent into direction, and pressure into policy.

Chairman’s Statement

To every worker, every student, every youth unemployed and every farmer unpaid, every woman abused—we say: we stand with you, and we will fight with you; until the bitter end.

Long Live Labour,
Long Live Revolution!
